What is Replacement Theory?

The concept of replacement theory is an idea that is believed by the racist in this country.

There was a 180-page document connected to the suspected Buffalo, NY, mass shooter that outlined something called “replacement theory.”

Replacement theory is “the idea that Whites are being slowly and intentionally replaced by minorities and immigrants,” according to CNN.

Under this belief, racist white people are in support of anything that lowers the populations of people of color, as can be seen from the racially motivated mass shooting in Buffalo, NY.

This is something also seen when it comes to abortion rights. There are large numbers of white pro-lifers who are likely taking this stance due to their population numbers decreasing.

“Nearly four of 10 Americans identify with a race or ethnic group other than white, and suggest that the 2010 to 2020 decade will be the first in the nation’s history in which the white population declined in numbers,” according to Brookings.

With their numbers lowering, white people, specifically those who are racist and don’t want the country to be more diversified, are doing what they can to prevent the change that they’re seeing.

Regardless of the things being done to remove Black people and other people of color, their numbers are continuing to increase while the numbers of white people continue to decline.
