A TikTok trend has surfaced combining a love of fashion, cute aesthetics, and videogames.
The trend is called “female horror-game protagonist fits,” and it’s pretty much what the name implies. Videos of teen girls putting together outfits inspired by costumes of women from classic horror video games, like Miku from Fatal Frame, Maria from Silent Hill, and Sherry from Resident Evil. These outfits involve lots of lace, short skirts, vests, and muted tones full of whites, browns, and blacks. Think coquette fashion, but if you were also being hunted by man-eating monsters.
