Tyler, the Creator’s next studio album has been announced and will debut Monday, October 28th!
This is out of the ordinary for the Grammy award winning artist Tyler Okonma with his albums generally releasing on odd years. His last album, narrated by Gangsta Grillz franchise mixtape founder DJ Drama, was launched in the summer of 2021. The upcoming album titled Chromakopia will be written, produced and arranged by Okonma.
Fans across all social media platforms have been attempting to guess who will be featured. Keep reading to see my guesses.
Prediction List:
Daniel Caesar
The first teaser released featured two voices. The first voice is Tyler but many believe the second to be popular R&B singer Daniel Caesar. Many are ecstatic about this duo, but I’m surprised at their support after Caesar was canceled fairly recently for his colorist comments.
Frank Ocean
Frank Ocean took a long hiatus from the music industry before making an appearance at Coachella in 2023. The talented musician has not released music since 2016, but I think this album will bring him out of retirement. The two artists have known each other since their days as members of the music group, Odd Future.
Lil Wayne
Lil Wayne has been featured on three Tyler the Creator albums, “Flower Boy,” “Call Me If You Get Lost,” and “Cherry Bomb”. These two artists work well together and I think together they could make another hit.
Kali Uchis
After the success from their song “See You Again” I hope the Rap and R&B duo will make a return. The contrast between Uchis’ soft tone and Tyler’s hype rapping skills, made for a perfect song that perfectly matched the production.
A$AP Rocky
A$AP Rocky is no stranger to Okanma with their close relationship. The best friends frequently collaborate and Rocky has been featured on a number of Tyler’s albums. It would come as no surprise if Rocky was on the upcoming album.
Since the initial announcement of the album, Tyler has dropped teasers of each song but has refrained from announcing his futures. I can’t wait to hear the album and see the music videos, especially after Inside Out 2 voice actor Ayo Edebiri made a cameo appearance in the song” NOID”. Who do you think will be featured?
