Who’s Buying Trump’s Sneaker?

Trump’s newly released “Never Surrender High-Top Sneaker,” is being sold for $399.

Donald Trump unveiled a new line of gold sneakers over the weekend, much to the disappointment of the crowd, who were at the conference hoping for Trump branded tighty-whities. Okay, that last part probably isn’t true, but Trump really did drop a new line of sneakers. According to a piece by NPR, they’re subtle, just gold colored, with an American flag on the sides, complete with a giant T. Called the “Never Surrender High-Top Sneaker,” they sell for a measly $399 a pair. According to Newsweek, someone on ebay is even selling the shoe for $7,5000Newsweek, all so reported that the website established to sell the sneakers says that the designs are trademarked by CIC Ventures LLC, and “are not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates or principals.”

“This is something I’ve been talking about for 12 years, 13 years, and I think it’s going to be a big success,” said Trump, known for great successes such as winning his 2020 re-election, leading an insurrection in 2021…. Oh, wait. Not-so-coincidentally, this announcement came one day after a court ordered Trump to pay $355 million in a civil fraud case.

Trump urged the conference to go and vote after unveiling the line. As the 2024 election gets closer and closer, it’s looking more likely that Trump will be the Republican candidate, meaning that this year’s race will come down between Biden and Trump. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.

“Donald Trump showing up to hawk bootleg Off-Whites is the closest he’ll get to any Air Force Ones ever again for the rest of his life,” said Biden-Harris 2024 Communications Director Michael Tyler later on.

The fact that the Republicans’ strongest candidate is starting off his campaign by preaching to people to buy his merch, one day after being court-ordered to pay almost $400 million, is definitely one of the worst first impressions of all time.

If you’re eligible to vote this year, please do! I think we can all agree that no one wants to see those shoes walk up to the White House to get sworn in again.
