Former Trump aide and “Apprentice” cast member Omarosa Manigault Newman tells all in her new book Unhinged: An Insiders Account in the Trump White House. She’s been all over the place during her book tour and has been dropping tapes along the way of secret recordings she made while at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Trump responded by calling her a “low-life dog” aka a modern day phrase for calling her a “b*tch.” I’m usually the first one to come to the defense when Trump disrespects someone from the POC community, but Manigault Newman is on her own for this one.
You served this man for over a decade; a man that dehumanizes immigrants by locking them in cages, a man that sees NFL players using their constitutional right to protest as enemies of the state, a man that finds favor in White Nationalists, and a misogynistic man that grabs womens’ genitals. Let’s not forget when Manigault Newman condemned President Barack Obama by saying “Hope won’t fill up the gas tank and hope won’t fill prescriptions.” Where was this energy when you stood by Trump through all of the scandals and dirt? Sis, can’t come to my cookout. No sellouts invited.
In attempt to win back Black America, she has claimed that she heard Trump using the N-word during the filming of the reality TV show, “The Apprentice.” Little does she know, we don’t need confirmation. We already know Trump is a racist.
I can’t bring myself to defend Manigault Newman when she was once Trump’s biggest fan. Now that you have all the tea and have seen the true colors of the Trump administration and the Cheeto, you want to spill the dirt and tell us what we want to hear or rather what we already knew. It doesn’t work like that sweetie. You can’t betray the Black community and try to get in our good graces when something goes wrong. You knew, Sis. You knew. You dance with the devil and then want somebody to come to the rescue. You got played. Promote the book all you want with receipts, but your Black card is revoked till further notice.
Like many other Black Americans, it’s gonna take a miracle for Omarosa Manigault Newman to come back into our good graces and earn her Black card back.
