The TIP Fest, short for Teens in the Park,Is happening this weekend. The event is a platform for Chicago youth to showcase and celebrate their art, talent, and other skills as well as connect with other resources and opportunities to expand on their field of work/art mediums, and forge potential friendships and careers. There will be performers, ranging from singers to dancers to poets, all in between the ages of 14 and 24.
Most interestingly, the festival will feature the top 10 performers that were selected from auditions that were hosted earlier this summer. The top three performers will receive various cash prices: 1st place will win $500, 2nd place will win $250, and 3rd place will win $150. More will be announced as we get closer to the event’s date. There is no fee to register to attend.
The event itself will take place on Saturday, September 30th from 1pm to 5pm CST and will be hosted at Union Park (1501 W Randolph St., Chicago IL 60607). You can check out more about the event and register here: https://www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/events/tip-teens-park-festival-union
