“Speak what you want into existence” is a quote I live by and faithfully believe in. I think it’s always important to speak inspiration and positivity into your life, especially since we just started a new decade!
Regardless of if you’ve made any mistakes, had any setbacks, or feel like you need a redo, it’s never too late to change the narrative and perspective of your journey. Which is why it’s equally important as to what you say about yourself and situations. Your words have power and seeing those motivating words every day could boost your level and mood.
Some of my favorite quotes come from Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Misty Copeland, Nicki Minaj, and Beyonce. All of these Black women ooze confidence and empowerment. Though they are in completely different industries, these women definitely dominate each of their fields in their own way.
Sometimes, when all hope may seem lost, you need to see someone who looks like you and has the same skin color, to know that anything is possible regardless of the obstacles ahead. These women have all been through setbacks and failures, but these are quotes they live by to pick themselves back up and continue to strive for success. Maybe their words can motivate you and provide that inner confidence you’ve always had inside.
“If you are committed to doing what it takes, anything is possible. It’s up to you.” -Michelle Obama
“Sometimes what you’re most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free.” Misty Copeland
“You have to know that as long as you love who you are–your morals, your values, that type of stuff, you’re OK.” – Nicki Minaj
