Yay or Nay

Are bedazzled edges becoming a thing?

Black women are so creative and particular when it comes to our hair. Braids, lace fronts, ponytails…you name it…we’ve done it. I love that we have become more comfortable with expressing ourselves through our hair and it has become a form of art.

One thing we are very particular about is our edges. I feel as though if my edges aren’t laid right then my hairstyle is incomplete. I have recently come across several videos and pictures of women with laid edges, but they have added an extra twist.

Bedazzled edges are becoming a trend and I am not mad at it. I first saw this trend appear on runways, but now it is becoming a day-to-day look for many women. I think this is an excellent way to catch the eye of anyone you walk past. BUT, some may think that this is taking it a little too far. Is this trend hittin’ or missin’.

I rep the 219, Indiana. I'm a wardrobe stylist and owner of Vintage By. B. I love shopping for pieces that are different and that I know nobody else will have! But one thing I hate about shopping is going broke doing so. Throughout the years of me working in retail, I have picked up a lot of tips and tricks for saving LOTS of money when shopping. I also go against trends by Vintage shopping. I find pieces that I can pair together to create works of art. You can call me a penny pincher, but I'll look BOMB while pinching my pennies :)
