After leaving the music scene for 3 years, Missy is back with her dance, fun-filled “WTF (Where They From)” video. With pop, urban hits such as “All n My Grill”, “One Minute Man”, “Get Ur Freak On” and “Gossip Folks” under her belt, we’re glad to see that she’s back.
Back in 2002, Elliott lost 71 pounds after doctors warned she could suffer a stroke if she didn’t lose weight. Missy has since made exercise and a healthy diet that limits fried foods, bread and sugar a part of her daily lifestyle.
After being diagnosed in 2008 with Graves’ disease, an autoimmune disorder, last year, Missy displayed her 30-pound weight loss at Super Bowl halftime alongside Katy Perry. She performed a medley of “Get Ur Freak On”, “Work It”, and “Lose Control”. It resulted in becoming the most watched Super Bowl halftime show in NFL history, receiving 118.5 million viewers in the United States.
