“If you’re the one, you’re the one,” is just one quotable from KeKe Palmer’s appearance on three-time Super Bowl Champion Shannon Sharp’s podcast, “Club Shay Shay”. Palmer is currently in the depths of a press tour for her new memoir, Master of Me. Her recent appearance with Sharp grasped the hearts of viewers as Palmer showed her vulnerability in her responses.
“I gained so much more than I sacrificed,” Palmer maturely explained as she recalled being the breadwinner for her family on the podcast. “My mother and father gave up everything so they could travel with me… what’s mine is theirs and what’s theirs is mine.”

Palmer truly is the chosen one.
Master of Me, takes us through the narrative of what it means to turn personal power into major power. The book has three parts: Performance, Power, and Purpose. Starting with a powerful dedication to her son, Leodis “Leo” Andrellton, the book teaches self-advocacy, mastery, and how to truly trust yourself to go to the next level. The book even features exercises for readers to participate in, podcast clips, pictures and more. In other words, Palmer snapped!
Before Palmer went on “Club Shay Shay,” she circled around to “The View,” where she walked out to her own song, “The Master,” which she released in conjunction with the book. Talk about a serve! “I was feeling empowered, and wondering how I could put that into words,” Palmer explained. “Master of Myself came to me… I get to tell my own story.”
Palmer has definitely been making her rounds, honey! Days before going on “The View,” she chopped it up with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show”. “My first book, I did when I was 21, and now I’m 31, and so much has changed in my experience… I want to be of service to my audience,” she said. Palmer is all about being of service to her community, and we see that time and time again through her actions.
Luckily, I got my copy of the book in the mail a few days ago – remember True Star’s coverage of Chicago’s Building Wealth Together for Tomorrow Summit? Palmer promised free copies of the book to the first 1,000 attendees, and she fulfilled her promise. I can’t wait to read the book and truly treasure the gems that she drops. Look for my review soon.
Congratulations, KeKe Palmer, on all your success.
