Are Things Beginning to Look Up for the Sky?

The Chicago Sky are playing with fire now that Angel Reese is back. The Sky recently battled against the Seattle Storm, but unfortunately the Storm washed out what could have been a beautiful day for the Sky, winning 94-88. The game kicked off at 7:00 pm at Wintrust Arena and the Sky started out fighting, with both teams scoring 20 points in the first quarter.

The second quarter is when the Storm started to slip away scoring 26 points in the quarter to the Skyโ€™s 14 points. Once halftime approached the Sky had to reevaluate, but it seems they couldnโ€™t get it right in the third quarter either. The Sky only scored 16 points to the Storms 20.

The Sky finally got it together in the fourth as their team chemistry was clicking. The Sky battled back by putting up 38 in the fourth to the Stormโ€™s 28. Key scorers for the Sky were Reese with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Ariel Atkins also had 19 points with 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Kia Nurse had 13 points and played a vital role in the Skyโ€™s 38 points in the fourth.

Reese stated, โ€œIt feel great to be back. All I want to do is play basketball. Dealing with a back injury, I have learned a lot about myself. I think with me returning we just have to get back into our groove and we can pull out some wins.โ€

The Sky went on the beat the Liberty on Thursday in New York 91-85. The win has the team at 9-26 for the season. Hopefully this is a sign that things are looking up for the Sky.
