A Night of Floetry

Foetry recently performed in front of a sold out crowd at the Chicago Theatre.

Floetry proved they’ve still got it and never lost it. Their Say Yes reunion tour made a powerful stop in Chicago, alongside Teedra Moses and Raheem DeVaughn, in a show put together beautifully by the Black Promoters Collective.

Soul singer Raheem DeVaughn was the opening act for Floetry.

The night kicked off at 8 p.m. at The Chicago Theatre to a sold out crowd, with Teedra Moses setting the tone. Though her set was brief, she made every moment count, getting the audience on their feet and reminding everyone of the depth of her catalog. She performed fan favorites like “Be Your Girl,” “Rescue Me,” and “Feels Good,” delivering smooth vocals and undeniable stage presence.

Marsha Ambrosius

Next up was Raheem DeVaughn, who brought undeniable energy and connection to the stage. From the moment he appeared, the crowd was fully engaged, especially the front row, who reached out to him throughout much of his set. DeVaughn worked both sides of the stage effortlessly, making sure fans felt seen while creating an intimate vibe in a large venue. At one point, he even stepped into the crowd, further electrifying the audience before returning to the stage to close out his performance.

His set included hits like “Woman,” “Customer,” “You,” “Guess Who Loves You More,” and “I Don’t Care,” perfectly setting the mood for the night.

Natalie Stewart

Then, around 9:30 p.m., the moment everyone had been waiting for finally arrived, Floetry, Marsha Ambrosius and Natalie Stewart, took the stage with vibrant, infectious energy. The entire crowd rose to their feet, eager to witness their return. Their set, lasting about an hour and a half, was unforgettable. Every element from the vocals to the chemistry to the crowd engagement was on point.

Floetry delivered hit after hit, including “Say Yes,” “Floetic,” “Getting Late,” “Hey You,” and “Sunshine,” along with “Far Away” from Ambrosius a’s solo work. It was a performance that felt both nostalgic and fresh, reminding fans exactly why the duo remains so beloved.

This tour is easily one of the standout live experiences of 2026. If you have the chance to catch a show, don’t miss it.
