Actress Keke Palmer is known for being in her bag and taking advantage of whatever opportunities are placed in front of her. Her next big move: launching KeyTV, a new digital platform made to spotlight “a new generation of creators,” according to the NOPE star’s introductory video about the platform.
Being someone who has made their mark in the movie and TV industries, Palmer, 29, has decided to branch out and expand her brand. “I’ve been doing this for 20 years, but this is what I’m most proud of,” Palmer said in an Instagram post. “Y’all always say I keep a job, now I’m making sure we ALL got one. Sharing the keys to the culture is my greatest gift – this is for you & for us, from me.”
Black people are often underrepresented in spaces like movies and TV and this is a huge step toward giving Black people a platform where their talents can be showcased.
“All it takes is one of us to unlock a door to unlock a million doors for each other,” Palmer said in her video.
We can’t wait to see what Palmer comes out with next.
