Coach Tyler Marsh is frustrated and the Sky has nothing to lose. This past weekend the Chicago Sky battled the Connecticut Suns and it was a hard-fought battle. The game kicked off at 3:00 pm at the Wintrust Arena and most fans were excited to see the two former LSU stars battle it out — Aneesah Morrow and Angel Reese. For Morrow this would be her homecoming playing her first ever WNBA game in Chicago. Morrow would proceed to make history being the first Sun rookie to record 200+ rebounds in a decade. Morrow is also second in rebounds among the rookies in the league.

The Suns came out strong outscoring the Sky 28-13 in the first, but the Sky fought back in theโจsecond even with questionable calls from the ref or missed calls. One particular play took placeโจexactly two minutes into second quarter, effecting the game when Elizabeth Williams got aโจbear hug and no foul call was called. Coach Marsh was so fed up that he rushed the courtโจtowards the ref like he was about to throw a punch. The ref quickly ejected Coach Marsh fromโจthe game. Coach Marsh stated, โI feel like weโve been getting the short end of the stick allโจyear. Every time that Iโve gotten a tech this year has been in support of our playersโฆ Thereโs no accountability on the other side of it, and that’s the breaking point.”
The Suns ended up winning by 10 points ending the game 94-84 and tying Chicago’s record at 9-โจ27. Key scorers for Chicago were Kia Nurse with 19 points, Kamilla Cordoso with 18 points and 7 rebounds, and Ariel Atkins with 12 points and 6 rebounds.
