The White Sox gave us a fun activity to do during Juneteenth. The team hosted the Houston Astros yesterday at Guaranteed Rate Field in a three-game series. The White Sox took game one of the series 2-0; unfortunately they werenโt able to take game two. Last night they lost 4-1, but it was still an intense fun game to watch.
The game kicked off at 7:10 pm, but before the game kicked off, the Sox gave us an excellent performance of โLift Every Voiceโ along with the national anthem. Once the game started Garrett Crochet was the starting pitcher for the White Sox and he entered the game 6-5. Crochet threw a decent game. He gave up nine hits which lead to two runs that would give the Astros a 2-0 advantage.

The Sox would eventually bring themselves back within one with Andrew Benintendiโs home run in the bottom fourth. The Astros would soon answer back with scoring one. The top six and eighth boosting the score to 4-1. Crochet finished with eight strikeouts, but due to the loss his record would drop to 6-6. To finish the night off, on the jumbotron the Sox showed a tribute to the late Willie Mays who passed on the 18th and a performance from dance team Redd Angles.
