The United States House Committee On Oversight And Accountability recently had a hearing titled, Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth. The purpose of this hearing was to further pull back the curtain on secret UAP research programs conducted by the United States government.
UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena) is a relatively new term that basically means the same thing as UFO, but the distinction is made to remove the conspiracy stigma around “UFO”. The hearing brought up bold claims surrounding UAPs and America’s involvement, but no hardcore evidence confirming extraterrestrial life.
The testimonies given mainly called for more transparency around UAPs and claimed that the US government has been keeping heavy secrets surrounding alien presence. The testimonies given state that we have definitely interacted with foreign intelligent life, but it’s being hidden from the public.
The four witnesses testifying were retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet, former Department of Defense official Luis Elizondo, NASA UAP independent study team member Michael Gold and journalist Michael Shellenberger.
Gallaudet talked about the threat UAPs pose to the US Navy, as he was chief meteorologist for the Navy in 2015 when a Navy pilot had a clear encounter with a UAP. He accused “elements of the government” of engaging in a disinformation campaign designed to discredit UAP whistleblowers. In his testimony he stated, “we are not the only advanced intelligence in the universe.”
Shellenberger wrote an extensive report talking about the lack of transparency around UAPs referencing the military intelligence official David Grusch, who claimed that the government has possession of alien spacecraft and bodies during the same type of congressional hearing in July 2023. This becomes incredibly fascinating when you hear what the former Department Of Defense has to say.
Luis Elizondo came out and said that the government has been using “excessive secrecy” to “hide the fact that we are not alone in the cosmos.” Even crazier, he was asked if the US government had conducted secret UAP crash retrieval programs “designed to identify and reverse-engineer alien craft,” and he said yes.
This means two former government officials have come out and told the public that the US government is in possession of alien technology and is actively keeping it a secret from the people. To combat this, Elizondo is calling for a national UAP strategy that will promote transparency.
I believe this hearing will be the death of alien stigmation meaning, the talk and research around the topic will no longer be conspiracy based. Michael Gold, the former NASA administrator, stated that, “The stigma prevents scientific inquiry, the best tool that we have to understand anomalies, from being fully applied.”
Gold has called for more NASA involvement in the study of UAPs, hoping it would reduce the stigma around the conversation and research around UAP incidents.
The curtain is most definitely pulled back and alien enthusiasts have mountains of things to discuss. Although we didn’t see any aliens or their technology, the hearing gave us plenty of food for thought when it comes to alien life on our planet.
