The Blame Game

The entire Tristan Thompson-Jordyn Woods scandal has been all over the Internet, but the consensus may have changed with tea that has recently been spilled. Jordyn Woods went on Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Red Table Talk” to tell the real scoop on everything that happened between her and Thompson. What she said really changed the game. She revealed in the interview that the two never left the party to go hook up, which raises some questions about what really happened that night.

In the interview, Woods speaks on what happened on that night where people reportedly saw her getting very close to Thompson. She admitted that it may have not been smart for her to be in that environment with Khloe’s baby daddy, but she took full responsibility for that. She went on to describe how the two were just doing their own thing at the party, but from the way things were set up, it could have been perceived that they were “cuddling” if someone wanted a quick story. Woods even highlighted, “But, on the way out he did kiss me. No passion, no nothing. On the way out he just kissed me. It was a kiss on the lips. No tongue kiss, no making out.” Woods appeared sincere and honest in this talk with Smith, but was obviously very disturbed with how things played out in the spotlight and the media.

But, why are we not addressing the real problem here? Tristan could have cheated on Khloe, AGAIN! This seems like a reoccurring offense, so it’s interesting to see how quick the Kardashian was to defend “his” honor. He literally cheated days before their child was born, so one can say that he should be held responsible for his actions, too. Yet, Kardashian and the media were so quick to jump on the wave of bashing Woods as “the other woman,” some even calling her a “homewrecker.” Headline after headline, tweet after tweet, they were all just diminishing her character and completely writing her off as a cheater and a liar. This game of picking and choosing where the blame should go is ridiculous.

The blame should obviously fall on both parties, because at the end of the day it takes two to tango. Those two came to a mutual agreement to do something they shouldn’t have which shows that they had a choice and they made it. Woods even admitted that her major fault was placing herself in the situation in the first place. It’s also easier to blame someone who isn’t in the relationship for cheating, because it doesn’t make you confront the fact that your relationship isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Kardashian knew the history that her and her ex had with infidelity, so she took her chances for heartbreak when she got back with Thompson. Regardless, if the scandal is real or not, this situation shows how easy it is us to put the blame on the wrong person. So, think again before you point fingers, and make sure you’re pointing them in both directions.
